Boise!!

I went up to Boise to visit my brother, Will, who is a freshman at BSU.  We went on a hike up to the cross on the mountain, and had an awesome time.

Hot Springs (again)

We went to the Fifth Water Hot Springs again this year, it was awesome and so relaxing.

North Carolina!!

I visited Kelly in North Carolina in August, and then we drove back to Colorado.  Along the way, we did some short little hikes, and saw some great things.  We walked on the beaches at Shackleford Banks for a few miles, and walked around the Smoky Mountains.

Mt. Bierstadt (again)

Alesha and I did Mt. Bierstadt, and I was so excited (even though she kicked my butt since she's so super fast!)  Once again, it was great fun, really beautiful, and an awesome experience.

Golden Gate State Park

RIght before Kelly was leaving for the summer, we did one final hike on June 12, 2011 at Golden Gate State Park.  It was an adventure.  Super fun, probably close to 10 miles around the whole park.  We saw an elk skeleton, some beautiful flowers, and great scenery.

Apex Park (again, different route)

On May 26, 2011, Kelly and I hike through Apex Park for a second time.  We took a slightly different route right around the time the sun was going down, and it was beautiful!

With the kids

Over the summer, I babysat my brother, Cayden, and another girl, Miranda.  So I tried to get them outside and having fun in some of Jeffco Open Space once a week or so.

Hike the Y! (Again)

On April 15, 2011, we all hiked the Y again, because it was our last weekend in Provo.  Here are some pics :)

Bike Ride up Provo Canyon

So, I know this isn't really a hike, but it was a cool adventure nonetheless.  On MArch 19, 2011, Sarah and I wanted to get away for a day, so we took a bike ride up Provo Canyon. It was way fun.  I think we ended up going like 7 miles total or something like that.  Not too far, but it was beautiful!!

Hike the Y

My roommate Sarah had never hiked the Y before, so I figured I should make her do it. We brought our other roommate, Melissa along too, since she hadn't done it either.  We went on october 15, 2010, at sunset.  It was beautiful.  We had lots of fun :)

Fifth Water Hot Springs

My friend Katy came to visit me for the weekend of September 18, from Idaho, and me, her, and Emily hiked up to the Fifth Water Hot Springs.  Very fun.  The springs were way too hot for the weather though.  I think we will definitely have to go again when it's not so hot.  It was a fun hike though.  Very quick, only 5 miles roundtrip, if that.

Mt. Timpanogos

Upon my return to Utah for the school year, I was feeling quite deprived of hiking, and so I asked my roommate, Marinya, if she would be interested in hiking Mt. Timpanogos with me on September 11, 2010.  She said yes, because she's awesome, and my buddies Emily and Sydney joined us for our adventure.  The hike was 15 miles roundtrip with more than 3000 feet of incline.  It was a great hike.  Definitely satisfied my desire to hike.  It was an incredibly long hike, and we were exhausted by the end, but it was so worth it.

Look at that mammoth of a mountain.
 Bright and early!
There's the summit.  Still have a ways to go.
Utah Lake and the valley.
